LinkedIn tips and tricks: Scheduled posts

💡Let’s talk about scheduled posts. Many daily LinkedIn users have been praying for this feature for a long time, by now it should be available for everyone.

It started off with the opportunity to schedule posts on your own wall, but was upgraded to even scheduling posts on in LinkedIn groups. The only posts that cannot be scheduled today are events, jobs, and services.

Shall we cover the basics?

First of all. How to schedule a post?

Scheduling is super easy:

  • Start a post.

  • Once ready, select the clock icon next to the "Post" button.

  • In the pop-up window you can select your preferred posting time and also see other scheduled posts. And you’re done!

Why should you schedule your posts?

đź”” LinkedIn algorithm loves consistency. This means that by posting consistently, not simply on the moments that you happen to have enough time to quickly write a post, you help your posts to reach higher engagement. And this way it is easier for yourself to plan your posts on LinkedIn.

⏱ Saves time. Many people say that it's hard to find the time to post on LinkedIn. I use the approach to write several posts at once because this way I save time from constantly switching over from one topic to another. When I'm already on the LinkedIn post writing flow then it is really easy to make several posts at once, instead of coming back to the same task every other day.

🌴 You can easily go and enjoy your vacation without having to worry that your personal brand get a hit from it or that your LinkedIn SSI score will drop. Just plan your posts ahead and schedule them throughout your vacation.

🆎 Easier to compare analytics. When you post at similar times then it is easier to compare your post's analytics and draw conclusions for future posting approaches.

How to adjust your post once scheduled?

It might happen that you create a post, schedule it and something either changes or you realize you made a mistake or left something out. Well, no worries. You can adjust your scheduled posts at any time.

Steps to take to adjust or delete your scheduled posts:

  • Start a new post, but instead of writing one, just select the scheduling button again.

  • Click on “View all scheduled posts”.

  • From there you can either edit the scheduling time or delete the post.

This is it for this month. Stay tuned for some more posting tips and tricks!
